Intestinal Fortitude.

Last week in a conversation a wise, successful entrepreneur said to me:

Entrepreneurship is about Intestinal Fortitude.

Sometimes advice gets you going, sometimes it can send you into existential crisis. I’m compelled by the idea and want to unpack it proactively instead of spiraling into an existential, “What does that mean!??!?” kind of space.

What is intestinal fortitude? And how can we develop it to inch ourselves closer to our biggest dreams, one inch at a time?

Here’s my breakdown of intestinal fortitude and the questions I’m asking myself this week to build it:

Stick-With-It-Ness

What do you hold most dearly and want to sustain and grow?

What’s the best next thing you could accomplish from here?

Courageous Reflection

Hydration

Have you had a sip of water recently? Get some water, we’re gearing up for something big!

What’s your first step toward that next best thing? And the second? Remember, bold actions often happen one piece at a time.

Bold Action

Have you taken a break to make sure you have what you need to keep going? It’s one thing at a time, and a refresh helps in the long haul.

Regular Bio-Breaks

Phew! Break is through. How can this break enhance your next steps?
