Riches in Niches.

So here’s the first thing: I don’t follow instructions well.

Maybe it’s my own personality flaw, maybe I’ve been conditioned this way through jobs that haven’t often come with instructions anyway… either way, it’s true.

The first instruction for entrepreneurs is to know your niche. Know your niche: what they love, what they need, how tall they are, where they work, their frustrations, their aspirations, their favorite foods… know all about them. And yes, this makes sense - because as entrepreneurs, we’ve got to be able to say who we help with what or else we’re just shouting into a dark abyss.

As a person who can just about always count on a self-fulfilling prophecy, I struggled with following the “define your niche” instructions. I filled out dozens of niche worksheets, half heartedly identified my ideal client’s favorite hang out spot but generally felt disconnected.

So I started with me.

In absence of this connection, I focused on values that I knew I’d share with my clients: belief there is a better future reality; sense of ownership in building it together; desire to grow ourselves to grow our impact.

I’m proud of what I’ve developed through these values - but kept noticing a missing catalyst, a point of clarity, a way to truly build a community around them.

Then I woke up.

Because I heard this: to be impactful you’ve got to LOVE who you serve and LISTEN to them.

Love them (cue doves).

LOVE them (cue clouds parting).

LOVE THEM!!! And cue some fire!

I went from head space to heart space.

This simple direction took me from attempting to describe who I wanted to serve to connecting immediately to who I want to stand next to.

This shift has me here: I love and serve women who are over it and are ready to make the most fulfilling, self-actualizing, joyful and possibility-reaching transition they’ve ever had. And as a matter of fact, I’d call that a transformation.

Are you over it? I’m listening.

Simultaneously too overwhelmed to keep going and too overwhelmed to start making a change? I’m listening.

Feeling imposter syndrome in the new job that was supposed to be your best transition yet? I’m listening.

Let’s take this transition and turn it into a transformation.
